Carnesky’s Tarot Drome is a two-hour large-scale promenade and stage show where surreal living installations, a live art-rock band and highly charged roller-skating routines take you on a journey through the tarot pack. The audience interact with living tarot cards in order to obtain a dynamic personal card reading.
I was an original cast member in Carnesky’s Tarot Drome and collaborated with Marisa Carnesky in three parts of the show – an interactive installation to represent the tarot card Strength, a wrestling match (with Phil Bedwell) to represent the cards The Lovers and The Devil and the house of cards roller skating finale. Each piece was devised and developed with Marisa in workshops and rehearsals, then performed for 10 consecutive nights at The Old Vic Tunnels, London in 2012 and at one night at Latitude festival in 2013.
